Happy 6th Birthday!!

We celebrated Kaiya's birthday at a park this year! She picked the park she wanted, and we set up and let the kids play! I was one of the most stressful to plan for and time consuming . . . . wish I could say it made it easier, which is what I thought it would do. But, I felt like I ran out of things for the kids to do (games), and they spent lots of time playing. Here are a few pictures from that fun day!!

Thinking back, I have realized her birthdays have always had a horse in the theme. My little pony, cowgirl, horse, and unicorn . . . given a unicorn is more a mystical horse . . . the horse was present! LOL! We had 2 party themes I picked, the 1st bday, and the 2nd birthday of Minnie Mouse. And she has picked one party theme not horse related at all, Hello Kitty . . . all other had a horse tied in!

Kindergarten Program

On April 28, 2011, Kaiya had her end of the year program for Kindergarten. She was very cute! She was also very concerned that she didn't get picked for a speaking part in the program. Which I think sort of effected her performance she seemed very concerned and serious instead of the typical happy and beaming performer she is. A few pictures from the evening.

Happy Mother's Day

On this Mother's day, I am so thankful for so much. However, this sweet precious little girl has by far been the best gift, and biggest blessing in my life so far! I have loved all 6 years of being her mom! It is amazing how one little soul can lift, bless, and inspire you! While I am not perfect, and have so many flaws . . . she loves me. I am so grateful that my Father in Heaven intrusted me with this sweet little spirit! I love being her mom!

When I first heard Martina Mcbride's song "In My Daughter's Eyes" it encompassed exactly how I feel about being blessed to be Kaiya's mom!

In my daughter's eyes I am a hero
I am strong and wise and I know no fear
But the truth is plain to see
She was sent to rescue me
I see who I wanna be
In my daughter's eyes

In my daughter's eyes everyone is equal
Darkness turns to light and the
world is at peace
This miracle God gave to me gives me
strength when I am weak
I find reason to believe
In my daughter's eyes

And when she wraps her hand
around my finger
Oh it puts a smile in my heart
Everything becomes a little clearer
I realize what life is all about

It's hangin' on when your heart
has had enough
It's giving more when you feel like giving up
I've seen the light
It's in my daughter's eyes

In my daughter's eyes I can see the future
A reflection of who I am and what will be
Though she'll grow and someday leave
Maybe raise a family
When I'm gone I hope you see how happy
she made me
For I'll be there
In my daughter's eyes
