I think I have one of the most thoughtful kids around, who is discovering the wonderful blessing of prayer!! In the last month, Kaiya has realized how powerful prayer can be and how quickly it can be answered. Three weeks ago, she couldn't find a necklace she wanted to wear. I told her to go look again. A few minutes later, she came out of her room and showed me she had found it. She followed it up with the following statement, "Mom, I said a prayer that I would find it and I did."
One Monday night, as she was saying her bedtime prayers, she prayed for the homeless people to find safe places to sleep, and to have what they needed. I was caught off guard, but very grateful for such a wonderful prayer.
Finally, her faith in prayer continues to show. Thursday morning, as we were running out the door to get her to her bus stop, K2 to Grammy/Granddad's house, and mom to work . . . mom discovered she had no idea where the keys were and couldn't find them. Kaiya said, "Mom, I will say a prayer that we find the keys!"I am so grateful for the faith of my little 6 year old!!!
