We had LOTS of fun this EASTER!! Did lots of fun activities with lots of fun people!! Kaiya got to participate in 4 Easter Egg Hunts!! Yes, you heard that correctly FOUR!! Here is the run down . . . .

Easter Egg Hunt with Grammy and Granddad

We woke up early on Saturday and headed to meet Grammy and Granddad for their annual breakfast and Egg hunt. Its location has moved, but was still as fun as ever! We ate a little breakfast, and Kaiya hunted eggs! She fair okay! However, I discovered she was finding the eggs and pointing them out to other kids!! Sweet, until the end when she was SAD because she didn't have very many eggs!! Hey, I won't complain for a kid that does kind things for others!!!

Easter Egg Hunt in the Orchard

After our fun hunt with Grammy and Granddad, we headed over to a "top secret spot" (I say top secret because we were unable to find it last year, even with good directions).  There we met up with lots of fun people!!

It is a Easter Egg Hunt a gentleman that owns a orchard puts on every year! He is extremely well organized. He breaks the kids up by age, and sends them to a divided up section of his orchard to hunt for eggs. Kaiya was in the 6 - 9 year old section. Each age group is given eggs that are easier to find, and the greatly coveted Gold, Silver, Bronze, and occasionally random prized eggs. This year he added a Walgreens egg (gift card inside). The Gold, Silver, and Bronze eggs are hidden in more difficult to find places.

Kaiya hunted and hunted! On a few occasions I thought she was gonna give up on finding the eggs. After a while, the gentleman came in and gave the kids all a hint where the Silver and Gold eggs were . . . the general area to look. The kids of course swarmed to those areas of their section! As kids were tossing around grass, twigs, and other ground coverings, Kaiya spotted the GOLD egg being tossed around! She quietly picked it up, walked up to the gentleman and whispered, "I found the golden egg." She was so quiet about it that a parent standing near by had to point out to him that she had the gold egg. Kaiya was THRILLED!!! She got a very cool easter basket and a giant chocolate bunny!!
