We are back . . . ok, we really didn't ever go anywhere! We have just been busy, with nothing in particular. We have had a few exciting events occur in the past few weeks. So, I figure I will just load all the pictures I want and then be done with it!
Grammy and Granddad came home from their mission on Feb. 21st. That was lots of fun! Oh the story we have to tell about that.
Before they got home, we had a visit from a very special family! Mom's mission family! It is a family that Mom tracted into and worked with while she was serving her mission in Detroit! She was EXTREMELY blessed to be able to see the Spirit touch their lives and to witness their conversion and baptism. It was a toughy! Needless to say, they are GOING STRONG!! It was such a fun thing to see them go from the "Mormon - we have heard of you, you are the people who don't believe in electricity," to the family that says prayers together (yes, mom caught them a time or two saying their family prayers)! How amazing it is to see the effects of the Gospel in their lives!!
I am way behind in my BLESSING - - but, I would like to say, my MISSION and THIS FAMILY - - I will call them the H Family (I don't want to give any indentifying information away!) have been a wonderful blessing and testament to me fo the Gospel! It has been just amazing to witness the change the Gospel can have on a families life when the let the Spirit teach them! It was amazing to go through all the trials with them during their lessons and to see the Spirit of the Lord continually guide them toward the Gospel. It was fabulous to see them baptized. I wasn't lucky enough to attend their endowment and sealing in the Temple, but just knowing they are it AMAZING! Finally, to have spent all this time apart (7 years) and see how they have grown! Both of their children have been baptized! And to be honest, they truly are an example to me! They set a wonderful example of family prayer, something I need to work on and be more willing to do. They set a wonderful example of love, respect, and joy during the few days they were here. It is amazing how in the Gospel the role of teacher and teachee can change! I truly have a lot to learn from this family now! Well, I haven't given away their identity! But, I am going to post a picture! They are an amazing family and I know the Lord will bless them as they continue to be faithful! The H Family and I! I love them!
Needless to say we have a good weekend. A very touching spiritual experience at the Temple. It was fun to see the kids who were only 2 and 5 when I was on my mission. It was wonderful to get to know them again! I love them a lot! And again, they have become great teachers to me of the importance of family prayer, love, and respect!!
