WELCOME HOME GRAMMY and GRANDDAD

Well, the grandparents are back! It is good to have them here. I will have to tell the whole saga of the entire experience! I decided before they returned home I was going to SPRING clean the house! The one where you pull everything out of every where and clean where it was and then wipe down everything as you put it back in! So, here is a picture of the aftermath that had on me . . . .

The day came. First, the Triple M cousins came to town! We picked them up at the airport and the Aunt had a GREAT IDEA to have the girls pictures taken in their chinese outfits for Grammy and Granddad! So, we added one more thing to our LIST OF THINGS TO DO (other included: make banner for house, signs for airport, get balloon bouquet for airport and house, get American Flags, and go grocery shopping for the weekend.). We fed the cousins, bathed them, and headed to the photographer! Really we got some cute pictures of the 1/8 chinese cousins!! Here they are:

This would be M1, M2, Kaiya, and M3. I will just mention that M2 is 5 and Kaiya is 2 going on 3! I have a GIANT and M2 is a petite little thing! Pretty cute! Oh, M3 will be 2 soon! I probably won't ever know what it is like to have such petite children, mine will all probably be the size of a 5 year old at 2!!

The one we got Grammy and Granddad! Also, the first picture taken.

While waiting for the photo to be ready, we grabbed some Dinner (at 3:30 p.m.) worried about what time we would be eating again. My Aunt in Utah called to make sure i was making the PROPER WELCOME HOME ARRANGEMENTS! I joked that I was just going to pick them up on the north curb and call it good! She let me know what i needed to do to make it the PROPER WELCOME! I had to calm her down with a little, I am on it! Wish I had not joked about the CURB thing . . . you will see why!

After pictures, we ran to the balloon store . . . called Prasan asked him to make sure we had a banner! Ran home just soon enough to put the banner up, tie the balloons on the front porch, grab the signs for the airport, grab Grammy's car, and head to the airport! Didn't even get the kids out of the car for this! Drove to the airport, ran through the terminal worried they might be 5 minute early and was greeted by Uncle Cary! We were in position and waiting!

M1 waiting with her sign and the airport bouquet!

Kaiya waiting with her sign, but not wanting a picture! STINKER

The flight they were suppose to be on landed, and we waited, waited, waited, and waited more. Sent Prasan to baggage claim to see if they tip toed past us. Cary called the airlines to check the passenger list. Finally, I had the Aunt call the Brother at home in Idaho to call the Hong Kong Office to see if their flight had changed! Make note I was given an itinerary a month before their return and assumed they would let me know if there were any change, I had just spoke to Grammy three days before no news of change. Finally, the oldest brother's cell phone rang. Grammy and Granddad had come in on a completely different airline! Yep! Guess where they were? Waiting for us on the North CURB!!! We were so disappointed! It would have been a fabulous homecoming and it turned into nothing SPECTACULAR at all!! I have to say, I TRIED!!

Glad to hear you found them. It is easy to loose someone when they come in on another airline. Felt real bad for all the work that you did do, but like you said -- at least you tried.

Love the pictures.
