We did family gifts in a different location than normal this year! Typically, we are gathered around the Christmas tree, and someone passes out the gift to the appropriate person, and then we go around the room from oldest to youngest opening one gift at a time! The procedure was no different, we just opened in my parents room sitting on the floor around granddad and his bed.

I think the best part was being around family for sure!! Including all the little digs, like that I am jealous of that baby Kaiya is holding . . . and we now have a flag to fly at half mass when a cow dies on the ranch!
