We are loving our time so far in Idaho! We landed in SLC, and were suppose to drive via shuttle to IF, Idaho. After a 2 hour wait for the shuttle to come, it came drove past us. We called, and learned there was a BIG misunderstanding, and we ended up renting a car! It was a long day!!
Kaiya first order of business was to visit and check on Tiger Lily! Sure enough, she was happily hanging out in the equipment shed with Milo (one of the other two ranch cats). Tiger Lily was so excited to see Kaiya!! Really, what kitty wouldn't be in heaven with innumerable mice and birds to catch and eat!!
She has been eager to go catch "skater bugs" in the creek by the house. She doesn't quite understand that "skater bugs" don't like the cold or the wet, and it probably hasn't warmed up enough yet for all the bugs to hatch! So, she has just enjoyed an enjoyable walk by the stream.
We have enjoyed a more leisurely day today! The cattle didn't arrive until mid afternoon. We missed one load of them being unloaded, but caught the next two as they were being unloaded. It rained nearly all day, with a few breaks here and there! Nothing really exciting, I was taught how to run the "new" water truck (aka a ranger with a smaller water container on it)! So, I have been given the assignment of watering the cattle and horses in the morning!
We are just anxiously waiting for the Triple Ms to come and for the BIG EVENT on Saturday! Is should be lots of fun and dirty too since it is suppose to rain tomorrow and Saturday!! YIPPEE!!
