Hong Kong a Little Longer

Kaiya and I are still in Hong Kong. We have loved it so much that we decided to stay for another 5 days. We have had a lot of fun. We were able to go to the family village, well two! We were able to visit the last family home of my Grandfather Yee (pronounced You) as well as the original. The original has been turned into a barn by relatives that still live in the village. Side note, each village in mainland China is full of relatives. So, when we went to the villages, we met many many distant cousins.

The other thing we have had to giggle at while here is the fascination of the Chinese people with our children. We were greated by about 20 relatives at the original village who just stood around and ooohed over the girls. We finally had to just sort of walk off. We truly wished we understoond cantonese at that time. Also, anytime we have gone some place, people will ask if they can take pictures with them. We have had to simply walk off from random groups of strangers gathering to each have their turn taking a picture with the girls.

Needless to say we are enjoying our trip. We will be home on the 20th of October.
