Happy Mother's Day!

We just wanted to wish Mom/Grammy a HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!! We love you so much! Thank you for all you do for us and with us!! I could go on and on, but I figure I should just maybe link to previous post about my fabulous Mom and Kaiya's greatest Grammy!! So, feel free to visit any of the following post about her wonderfulness as a person, Mom, and Grammy (I just picked a few):

- My Mom

-Fabulous Grammy and Mom

- Traditions from Grammy to her Grandgirls

Again, my Mom (and Dad) are just fabulous! They would go to the ends of the earth for any of their kids, grandkids, or any other family/friend! I am so lucky to have her as my Mom and for Kaiya to have her as her Grammy!! We love you!!

Next, I had this GREAT COWGIRL inspiration! Grammy, loved these pants I made for Kaiya . . .

Now, lets be honest, those bandana pants turned out pretty darn cute! And, they are light weight, loose, and fabulous for those over the century mark days!! Plus, I have to say . . . I have now sewn 3 pairs for Kaiya (pink, purple, turquoise), the one pair for each of the Triple M cousins (SIL- I feel a photo op coming on this summer!!), and two pairs for a friends daughter!! Loving them . . . easy and CHEAP!!! WELL . . .

Being the "pro" seamstress I am (ha ha!), I figured . . . adult sized, couldn't be harder than buying a couple yards of fabric, and stitching them up just the same . . . only adding a hem to the bottom. So, I went to work making my mom's present. Now, really what do you get the woman who has everything?? (probably not, but it feels like it sometimes) I am sure you would all agree, BANDANA PANTS are the PERFECT gift! Homemade super fabulous! I found dang cute "bandana" fabric only with a cowboy hat, guitar, boot on it instead of paisleys, prefect for bumming around the ranch in this summer!!

There was just one PROBLEM . . . . yep, just one SMALL . . . well, MAYBE NOT SMALL . . . one GIANT PROBLEM!! Not so straight forward for an adult as a kid . . . ready . . . .

Now, in this picture, they have no elastic in the waist yet! But, really tell me . . . there is no way they would fit my mom! First, my mom is shorter than I am and is petite!! Me, not so petite! Do you see the HUGE PROBLEM??? Yep!!

I will admit, I took them apart attempted a ratio thing . . . however, now they are actually stitched together again . . . they are still huge with the elastic in them on ME! So, I am still working on this "SIMPLE homemade" gift! When I do get them done . . . Grammy will be getting her picture taken in them!!

Otherwise . . . I think I might just claim that is the pant size I started in when I began "getting healthy!" I got a good laugh out of that . . . I hope you did too!!!

P.S. My mom hasn't gotten the pants yet! So, NO SHARING . . . I am laying bets she won't check this site in the next 24 hours!!!

**Please note, I have been scoring 6th grade writing for the past two weeks . . . and I have reached the point that I do not know how to write correctly or how to spell correctly! So, please ignore all my errors! Hopefully, I will regain some part of my educated brain soon!!!
