Good Old 4th of July

Kaiya and I get to once again celebrate the 4th of July just the way I did (well almost) growing up! Obviously a few things have changed, and we will do a few things, I never did growing up (like the flag raising ceremony) and miss a few things I did growing up (like 2 a.m. pancake breakfast) . . . but it is pretty darn close!! Starting TODAY . . . our festivities start!! YIPPEE!!

2:00 p.m. Little Miss Contest
7:00 p.m. Miss Contest

Saturday, July 3

7 a.m. Pancake breakfast at the fire house
8 a.m. Flag raising
11 a.m. Parade
12 p.m.- Concessions, games, food, rides, entertainment (I am sure some GOLD FISH too)
12:30 p.m. Car show (if we can pull ourselves away from the fun above)
9:30 p.m. Fireworks

We are really excited! Can't wait to see most, probably about all of Mom's first cousins, and most of Kaiya's 2nd cousins! Should be a TREAT and should WEAR US OUT!!! YeAH!!


Oh! I left out 3rd cousins . . . can't forget Kaiya's "Other Cousin McKenzie, the one in UTah!" as she refers to her! We already got to say hi to her last night before bed! Mental Picture: two five year olds, one in a car, the other in her battery operated jeep! They noticed each other, one unbuckles and flies out of the car, the other bounds out of her jeep! They run to each other, and give the other the BIGGEST HUG EVER!! Darn wish I had had my camera ready it was stinking cute!!!!
