Lost Tooth!

Yesterday, during dinner Kaiya discovered she had a tooth that was loose. This traumatized her. No matter how excited I was about it, she was not happy. To the point that she came to me and said, "Mom, while my tooth is loose, I am not going to run, jump, dance, ride my bike or scooter, and I am going to brush around this tooth!" Now you know when a kid is going to give up all those things and she tells you thru tears that they mean serious business!!! I assured her it would be okay, that she needed to wiggle that tooth all she could so we could get on with it!!

We awoke this morning to more tears about how it her mouth didn't feel right with this loose tooth! However, we went to the Zoo with a friend and her 4 kids. We played, and the three who had lost teeth gave her tips on how they got theirs to come out!!

After the Zoo, we stopped off for lunch. As I was ordering, Kaiya I guess was playing with her tooth. Suddenly, I hear "Mom, Mom! Look!" I turn to find a wide smiled little girl, with a tooth missing, bleeding a little bit, an a tooth laying in the palm of her hand!! The whole place had their eyes on her, I said "it is the first lost tooth!" They seems to get the excitement then!! Kaiya went on to say, I was playing with it, and I decided to twist it like Ky did!" She was so proud of her self. We got in the car and she proceeded to want to call and tell people!!

And of course we had to have a tooth fairy pillow. But, my old hand me down wouldn't do because it wasn't pink and purple!! So, I spent the evening with Kaiya's assistance making her, her very own tooth fairy pillow! Now, she is asleep waiting to wake in the morning with her tooth gone, and money left behind!!!

I am in the mean time trying to ignore the fact at Kaiya is not only going to Kindergarten, but is also loosing the last few things about her that are a baby! She has lost her baby tooth!!!
