Kaiya's Room

This morning has been totally about getting flowers on Kaiya's wall! She has a fixation with them and continually tries to put the ones from her nursery that have sticky stuff up on the wall. I decided to just do it and do it the way she wants! It is her room and well, she is pretty opinionated! This is what we have on one of her bedroom walls that won't have any other pictures or anything else on it!! What do you think?

Not entirely sure I love it . . . feeling like it is a little disconnected from the rest of the room. So, I am playing with the idea of getting more wooden flowers, painting them in the same colors, and placing them all the way around the room at the top of the wall. Sort of like a border at the top, feeling like this would tie the wooden flowers into the rest of the room. So, I ask you, what is your opinion? Do a border of flowers around the entire room at the top of the wall by the ceiling or leave it to just one wall??? I will have to get the rest of the picture hung today so we can get a better idea of what the rest of the room will look like! Until then, here is the FLOWER WALL and the GIRL WHO LOVES HER FLOWER WALL in her PURPLE ROOM with her FLOWER BED!! She is too funny!!!

I also have to give PROPS to the cute white cupboard and table/chairs set! They are both hand-me downs from me! My oldest brother Cary made the cupboard for me when he was in school and one of my dad's relatives made the table and chairs for me! They were originally YELLOW! And have now be repurposed THREE TIMES!! A big thank you to them for making them and my parents for keeping them all these years!! I hope Kaiya holds onto them and pass them on to her kid, their kids, and etc! They are great quality and WONDERFUL HEIRLOOMS!! THANK YOU!!!

I like the flowers! I think I would keep them all on the one wall or I would maybe do them around the whole room but more towards the middle of the wall, but that would depend on what else you have going on the walls.

My vote would be for the border around the top of the room, but then again, we are talking about Kaiya and what she wants so if she likes it and you can deal with it, then do what makes her happy!! Afterall, isn't that our job as mother's?
