This weekend, Kaiya and I tagged along with Grammy and Granddad to Idaho. We headed up north to visit cousin M1 and attend her baptism. It was quite the weekend! We drove from home to St. George, Utah, to Grantsville, Utah, to Idaho Falls in the big old truck!
We stopped in on cousin Kambree and cousin Spenny and Eliza. It was great fun! Kaiya thought those babies were awefully cute and fun!! She really enjoyed holding them!!
We spent the night at Great Uncle Cory's house arriving at 1 a.m. for a quick sleep until 6 a.m. and then we started getting ready for the road again! We only wish we could have spend more time with Great Uncle Cory and seen some of our favorite creatures - - lambs, cows, and horse . . . specifically Kaiya's horse Red!! He was no where to be found!!
We arrived in Idaho to find snow! Upon checking in, Kaiya played in the large mound of snow in the parking lot! Then, we spent some time running around looking for a last minute baptism gift and then headed to the triple M's house!! There, Kaiya convinced M2 to play in the snow with her . . . I wish I had a picture of M2 all bundled in snow gear and Kaiya in her little knit pants and purple fleece playing in the snow!!
Saturday, we attended M1's baptism! It was a fabulous day! Granddad baptized M1 and her Dad confirmed her! We really enjoyed the services! I still can't believe she is old enough to be baptized. After her baptism, we headed to what seems to be a GRANDDAUGHTER FAVORITE - - SIZZLER for lunch! We had a fabulous salad bar!! Yummy!! Thank you for the great time. Then, we convince M1's mom and the maternal cousins we ought to hit the swimming pool at our hotel!
So, off we went for a little swimming while various trucks got new tires! We enjoyed a couple hours of swimming and then headed to the Triple Ms house . . . .
The plan, Uncle Cary was going to make sure Kaiya had a SLED RIDE before we left!! We played and soon Uncle Cary and Uncle C arrived back in request for who would want a sled ride! Kaiya jumped at the chance . . . . she wasn't so sure of sled rides when it was her solo with Uncle Cary driving . . . so, M1 and Grammy came to the rescue and went with her . . . then, Uncle Colby took over and we headed to the big field!!
Post face plant in the week old hard snow, she wasn't so sure about sled riding!! But, she kept going! Mom jumped on the 4 wheeler for a moment of towing . . .until Kaiya revealed that she did not want to miss any excitement and had had an accident. So, mom towed cousin M1 around for a moment.
