Lost Family Found

Stole this taggie from Devri, a fabulous blogger who once left me a comment on my blog! Thank you!! So, I decided to "play along" just for fun and something to take my mind off the morning!!

Rule, go to your 6th folder, post the 6th picture, and tell about it! Yada Yada! Not going to tag anyone, if you want play along! I find it fun just to see what picture it is and what memories it drags up!!

Dinner with my long lost Yee Cousins in San Francisco, August 2005!

LONG STORY about this photo! I will give the readers digest version quickly . . . you want more information go visit my visit to China link. Just of it was, my dad is the son of a Chinese immigrant. Lots of filler information, could be added for all intensive purposes he didn't know his dad, nor that he had 4 sibling! Found a cousin by "accident" (we believe by divine interviention) that eventually led to the meeting of one of his brothers (who lived in Detroit, and called a week after I returned from my mission there)! This is a picture of his brother's wife, son in law, son, my dad, mom, and I on a trip to San Francisco to meet my father's sister. My father's brother passed away just before this and not picture because she is the photo take is my other cousin, or the brother's daughter! We met my aunt/dad's brother in Chinatown and had lunch Dim Sum with her. This is the first time a reality of being part Chinese set in. This is dinner later that evening with the cousins! It sure was fun to meet them and get to know them a bit! Great people and so happy to be able to call them family!!

While this was a happy weekend getting to know family we had been separated from for an extended period of time, it was a sad weekend also because "lost" a family member that we miss dearly - but our hope stays alive!!

So, there is my condensed version! Hope you enjoy!!
