CRAZYMAMA's CONTEST and MY ECZEMA

So, I have entered CRAZYMAMA's contest for some lotion. For anyone who has lived with me or is related, you know I have suffered with ECZEMA my entire life. I have been fighting the current outbreak for about 4 months now. It is all over my hands and feet. Let me just say most days are very PAINFUL! It hurts to bend my finger, wash them, lotion them, etc. It is to the point that most of the time I am a bubbling, oozing, bleeding, cracked, scaling mess! I have even contemplated amputation, if it would rid me of it!!Yep, you wanted to know all this right?? Anyway, all through youth, especially dating I was EXTREMELY SELF CONSCIOUS of my ECZEMA! Did everything I could to hide it! I was the girl in AZ with sneakers on in 120 degree heat to cover my feet because I had an eczema outbreak. If people noticed I would make a comment about cutting myself or skinning them on something. A joke with one friend was I was never allowed to touch a knife - I was pretty convincing. When I left for college my freshman year I experience an outbreak that covered me from head to toe in my blistery, itchy, oozing, bleeding mess - that would be 6 hours a flight from AZ to Hawaii!! And since then it hasn't left me alone ever! I wish I could get back to H.S. when it stayed on my feet. Now, it is on my hands, arms, feet, and other random places!

** Compliment to the hubby - - I do have to say that was one thing I loved about my husband, he never made me feel unattractive for my skin disorder when dating! Where other people I dated I was always feeling like it was unattractive. My hubby simply does what he can to get rid of things in my life that might irritate it (he does the dishes because water irritates it), lecture about not itching (if he only knew how bad I needed to itch) and is constantly looking for remedies for it (most not so appetizing - but I try for him)! He did finally slip recently (after 3 years of dating and 5 years of marriage and his English got him in trouble) - he was trying to build up what a great catch he was, but ended up making me feel bad like I wouldn't be loved by anyone else - ENGLISH IS SO TRICKY! In return, I have joked he causes it because of the stress he causes! hee hee!!

Her latest contest if for some LOTION that is FREE of ALL THE STUFF ECZEMA SUFFERER are SUPPOSE TO AVOID! The lotion is pure and natural, free from artificial colors, fragrance or chemical preservatives. I am hoping to WIN!!

Did I mention Kaiya has inherited this horrible skin disorder from me. Hers isn't as severe, thank goodness!! However, every lotion I have ever tried had made her CRY and blubber, "It BURNS!" Now if I even mention lotion, she runs the other way and cries "No lotion no lotion!"

Wish my luck! I have fulfilled all CONTEST requirements!! Pick me!!!

Also, as my husband will attest I AM PRETTY MUCH GAME TO TRY ANYTHING THAT MIGHT HELP ME SKIN - - (really wish they would just find a cure - but I am pretty sure eczema not a top find a cure disease with others like CANCER, AIDS, DIABETES, HEART DISEASE lurking around). So, if you have a TIP TELL ME!! Wow! Can't believe I just openly discussed this embarrassing disorder! Feels good!

Next time you see me and my hands/feet look horrible - - no worries! It is my eczema and IT ISN'T CONTAGIOUS!!! But, please try not to stare = = I am really self conscious of it!! I have to also say besides being PAINFUL - - it prevents me from getting manicures and pedicure - - I have had two pedicures in my life during clear moments - - aaahhh wish I could get them!!

Oh! Here are two small picture of my REALLY REALLY GOOD DAY today! This way you can stare before you see me again! Keep in mind this really is a REALLY GOOD DAY of eczema!! Again IT IS NOT CONTAGIOUS!!

Yes, I have flinestone feet and hands, if you hadn't noticed that before!!

**Look at you Crazymama, getting me to come out of the eczema CLOSET!!! That felt good! I promise no more pictures of it! But, it feels good to not have it be something I am trying to hide anymore from people other than family! Deep breath!
