One of those FEELING STUPID DAYS!!

Have you ever had one of those days? You know the kind where you wish you could rewind and never have gotten out of bed? I am having one of those days. Ok, maybe not the whole day, just the part from 5 p.m. on.

I went subbing again today to a 6th grade classroom. It was kind of well, boring! I have to say I did announce how bored I was to a few of the teachers (one of those days where you are basically babysitting 30 kids, did ZERO TEACHING!! Give me something to teach!). Needless to day, I probably jinxed myself there! So, that was the end of my boring day! I went to pick Kaiya up from Grammy and Granddad's house, stayed and chatted a while.

I pack Kaiya up and we head home . . . as I start to back up . . . I shift into "auto pilot" in my brain and back out the way I back out for 18 months when no cars besides mine were there. Well, "auto back-up" doesn't work well this time! Soon, I hear over Kaiya telling me something, "scrunch!"

My response, "are you kidding me?" Here is what my ARE YOU KIDDING ME IS ABOUT!!!

Yep! That is what caused the SCRUNCH sound! See, my brother Cary has his extremely nice maroon Ford F250 Superduty lifted truck parked at my parents house for . . . SAFE KEEPING while it is here in AZ and can't fit into his garage (it is normally parked in my dad's shed in Utah). That is right folks, I backed into his truck! I FEEL STUPID!! I pull my stupid self together to go back in the house and get my dad. And there it is! I do have to say, "THE FORD KICKED THE HONDA's BOOTY!!"

Basically, my brother has a half inch crack in his rear brake light, a scratch on his bumper, and a little silver paint like a pencil marking on his tailgate. I am SOOOO GLAD that is all it did to his truck! I wish it hadn't have happened, but at least mine took the brunt of it!

So, that is my ONE OF THOSE DAYS!! I feel really stupid and have NO IDEA how I COULD HAVE BACKED INTO HIS TRUCK! Except for the shifting to auto pilot idea. I am hoping to go to sleep now, wake up to this post not being here, my car not having a huge hash in it, and his truck being in perfect condition again!! I just feel so bad, silly, and well DUMB!!

One more thing, they say bad luck strikes in three . . . well, number 3 I am watching for you! I have the first two down, one to go!!

Better your brother than your mother-in-law...yes the first, only, and last time I ever drove Maureen's car I did the same thing and backed into a junky old parked car. Luckily she was very forgiving & I think she felt worse for me than for herself.

Poor Nan, you and cars just don't get along do you? I think you should just walk everywhere from now on! I recently had an incident with me and the truck and our fence. Needless to say it was in the body shop a week later and now looks good as new! I am glad that your bro's car didn't get damaged!!!!
