Dance and Preschool

Ok, I did it! I did what I have been waiting three years to do! Sign my daughter up for dance and buy her dance shoes! She wanted PURPLE Ballet shoes and PURPLE Tap shoes! I really really really thought the PURPLE ROOM would ease some of the need for PURPLE! Alas, it hasn't. So, Kaiya starts dance in two weeks and she has ballet and tap shoes, neither are purple. We satisfied the purple need with a promise of purple ribbon to tie her tap shoes!

Can I just say, no shoe shopping for Kaiya is ever easy! She has a super wide foot (I can blame both parents - Prasan and I) for that! And baying shoes has always been difficult because she isn't just a wide, but an EXTRA WIDE! Yep! I buy most shoes off the Internet or at Striderite. Once in a while I get lucky and can find a wide pair at payless that is just wide enough for her foot. Well, ballet and tap shoes were not different!! After two stops, we returned home to let our fingers do the walking on the search for wide shoes! She is so excited to be a ballerina dance and of course, "TAP LIKE GRAMMY." We found them finally and had to drive to Chandler to get them. She also got a beautiful bag with "ballet shoes" on it to keep them in. She is too excited!! She is currently with Grammy and Granddad and the shoes and bag are there too!! (We have the termite people at our house treating it and we don't want Kaiya to have some developmental problme because of the chemical - even if they say it is safe, why chance it.). So, when I get her back, I will have to model and get a picture with her shoes!

Preschool, yep! I am shopping for preschools! And let me just say it is killing me! I know I should have started clear back in January! But, I didn't. So, I am starting now and just doing the best I can!! No preschool yet! But, Kaiya has already started talking about school. She is silly! Love her to death!!
