HIGH SCHOOL TAG

First, THANKS GINGER!!Wow! Reliving H.S. sort of fun, sort of not! But, all in good fun, I will do it!! Are you suppose to post a pic of yourself???

School: Mountain View High School, Arizona.

1. Did you date someone from your high school?

Depends on what you call dating! I got bounced around a little my junior year between two friends, Dereme and Todd. It seems as soon as I thought I was liking and dating one, he would stop asking me out and his friend would start!! Yeah! Don't ask!! In my mind, I wasn't cool enough for the guys at my school!

Dating as in boyfriend . . . I had two my senior year, from the rival High School, Mesa High! It was good times!!

2. What kind of car did you drive?

My first car, was my mom's car! She never drove it, so it got passed to me. The BLUE HONDA PRELUDE!!! It was fabulous! Had a sun roof!! Good times! I liked that little car!!

3. What was your most embarrassing moment in high school?

Junior Prom . . . my prom dress snagged on something, I think the bench on the gondola ride at the Hyatt Regency! It was noticed by the guys in the group. So, there I stood in the HOTEL LOBBY with THREE GUYS bent down and staring at my TUSH as they decided whether to cut the snag or not! They WOULD NOT let the girls have the key chain scissors and take care of business in the bathroom!! I can only imagine what that scene looked like to the rest of the people that night!

4. Were you a party animal?

Well . . . not really! I went to a few, but I had a MIDNIGHT curfew . . . not 12:00:30 seconds. I mean 12 o CLOCK SHARP!! I mostly hung out with my friends, and the "party" seemed to die right after Genny and I left!! We were CURFEW BUDDIES!!!

5. Were you considered a flirt?

Flirt . . . I don't think I was! However, I was voted during one lunch session to be the FIRST ONE to get married because I was BOY CRAZY as my friends put it!! I wasn't really CRAZY!! I just thought they were pretty GREAT!! And for the RECORD . . . I was SECOND to LAST of that group to get married! CANDICE BEAT ME OUT of the LAST SPOT!!

6. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir?

NOPE . . . none!!

7. Were you a nerd?

I am with GINGER . . . more middle CLASS! If I was a nerd, I was BLISSFULLY UNAWARE!! I definitely wasn't a POPULAR KID, but didn't really NEED TO BE or WANT TO BE!!

8. Were you on any varsity teams?

Yes . . . HA HA!! Are you ready?? I followed my CHINESE ANCESTRY and was on the BADMINTON TEAM! I went to state . . . but, lost out! I was not NEARLY AS GOOD AS MY CHINESE COUSINS you see at the OLYMPICS!!

9. Did you get suspended/expelled?

NO WAY!! I was a STRAIGHT EDGED KID!! I wouldn't want my parents breathing down my back at all, let alone something like that!!

10. Can you still sing the fight song?

I don't think I knew it then . . . let alone now!

11. Who were your favorite teachers?

Mrs. Colgate . . . she CHALLENGED ME big TIME!! It was ENGLISH and my writing was always challenged by her! I think she really PREPPED me for college!!

12. Where did you sit during lunch?

I usually left for lunch, except sophomore year! Not a right sophomore's had! A table with friends . . . SNICKERS and DR PEPPER was the MENU when on campus!!

14. Did you go to homecoming and with who?

I did go to homecoming! Junior year, Dereme Budge, we went target shooting during the day. Senior year I hit up two "homecomings." Skipped the dance for one to do a little clay pigeon shooting, tin foil dinner in the desert with the bf, and got ask to my school's homecoming with another kid, the week of the dance! Sort of tee'd the Bf off because the kid asked me with a dozen roses !!

Note, my parents had a one date with someone else between dates with boyfriend policy!

15. If you could go back and do it again, would you?

I don't know! I have enjoyed so much of what I have done since H.S. Maybe, maybe not! If I could pick and choose the moments, maybe!!

16. What do you remember most about graduation?

Having my cousin Alex, Aaron, Grandma Jane, and Aunt Een surprise me on graduation day as I was sunning myself for graduation! Needed to be as dark as possible! And hanging out at the grad party with my cousin Alex all night, then heading to the lake for a little jet skiing action at 6 a.m. with Aaron and Alex! It was a long two days with no rest, but a BLAST!!!

17. Where did you go senior skip day?

No! If I remember correctly, senior skip day was cancelled because administration would pull your eligibility for graduation if you did! Fuzzy! MEMORY!! I think Maria skipped on that day . . . I only went to school half day my senior year! We headed to my house and watched . . . GRRR!! That movie with ALICIA SILVERSTONE and the "W" for WHATEVER - - anyone got the name??? CLUELESS

18. Have you gained weight since then?

Ha ha ha! Ha ha! ARE YOU KIDDING??? Do I need to do a THEN and NOW PHOTO??? Let's just say, I am at least TWICE as thick now as I was then . . . AT LEAST!! Where did my promise to myself go to always be able to fit into my senior prom dress!! HA HA!!!

19. Who was your prom date?

Junior year, Todd Evans! Fun times!! Senior year, CHAD . . . MARIA, remember CHAD?? Yeah! I was home at 10 p.m. senior year! My date started to tell me at his schools prom that he was "OF THIS WORLD BUT NOT THIS SIDE and he was SENT for the PURPOSE of FULFILLING ALL MY HAPPINESS!!!" HELLO!! I asked him to take me HOME!!!

20. Are you planning on going to your 10 year reunion?

That has COME and GONE! We will see if I go to the next . . . . I keep in touch with most of my good friends!!

21. Looking back, what advice would you give yourself?

Don't worry about OTHERS and their THINKING! The best times in your life will be when you let loose and act GOOFY!! Enjoy every moment and quit looking forward to the future so much, you miss out on the present! LISTEN TO YOUR PARENTS!! Mostly, ENJOY!!
