Pumpkin Carving

WOW! You know you have had a BUSY HALLOWEEN, when you realize at 3:37 p.m. on Halloween that you haven't CARVED your PUMPKINS!! That is us! Between carnivals and the regular daily things, we haven't gotten to your pumpkins!

So, realizing we wouldn't have time between when dad finally arrived home and we left for the carnival . . . approx. 1 minute if all went well, we better do it!

Kaiya for the FIRST TIME EVER was brave enough to reach in and touch the gooey pumpkin innards! She did a pretty good job cleaning out her little pumpkin. I carved hers/mine aka THE BIG ONE and her itty bitty one! Dad's is still in the garage uncarved and SHALL be had for DINNER . . . PUMPKIN CURRY!! I am sure it is delicious!!

After cleaning and carving the BIG ONE . . .

Kaiya gave me instructions on her pumpkin face. The conversation occurred like this:

K: I want circles for the eyes.

Me: Okay. What about the nose?

K: Nose is a RHOMBUS, a BIG RHOMBUS.
Me: Okay. ** snicker snicker*
K: Oval for the mouth

Me: Do you want teeth?

K: Two teeth

Me: OoPs! I cut one tooth off!

Here is her pumpkin creation! I love her age right now! It is so fun! Between her little saying and her changing of SONG LYRICS, I giggle lots!!

One thing has never ChAnGeD . . . a LOLLIPOP is the first to be consumed at the end of Halloween night!
