First Water Slide - Hawaii - 1/8/2009

After the long car ride last night no one felt like rushing down to the car this morning. So, we enjoyed breakfast delivered to our rooms. After breakfast, Kaiya and I dressed in our swimming suits and hit the swimming pool! She was VERY excited about the WATERSLIDE at the pool.

Upon arriving at the pool, we learned their was a 42 inch height requirement to use the slide. I was a little worried we were going to be too short. However, it turns out that Kaiya is exactly 42 inches tall! Yippee! So, as soon as the water slide worker arrived to open the slide, we headed over to it! Grammy took some pretty good pictures of us and I got a video or two . . . however, I forgot that you cannot rotate video! So, I can't say I will post it, but we shall she! She loved the waterslide!!

We both enjoyed our morning at the pool. It was sunny and warm and I tried to sneak in a little resting on the lounge chair hoping to get a little sun on my lilly whites . . . . When I first laid down I discovered this little critter watching me just a few feet from my face . . . so, then I had to try to get a good photo of him and show him to Kaiya. I am afraid all that excitment scared him off!! Oh well!!

While Grammy was with us at the pool, Granddad was . . . well you see the building . . .

yep right up there in our rooms . . . can any relatives GUESS what he was up to?? M1 I am sure could guess it . . . YES! That is it . . . he was WATCHING THE STOCK MARKET!! Besides hunting down lost golf balls, my dad enjoys the hobby of STOCK MARKET MONITORING!!
Kaiya and I played a little longer in the pool . . . Grammy got a little hot so she headed back to the room. We followed about 15 minutes later!

After getting ready, we made our way back to the dreaded car for a little more island sight seeing! First stop was a beach you may reportedly be able to see a whale from in the winter . . . no luck! But, we did find Kaiya's first shave ice!!

Then, we headed back north to Parker Ranch . . . never saw the actual ranch . . . matter of fact, we weren't certain you could see the ranch . . . but, we stopped in to their "shopping center" and their Parker Ranch Store.
We made sure to stop in and see the Kona Hawaii Temple! Could be in Kona and not see that!!
