So . . . besides being busy trying to lose weight . . . we have been busy with a little remodeling! Just a little! Does anyone remember my big CUT OUT in my family room with nothing in them and nothing to do with them . . . let me try to refresh your memory!!!
There that big hole on the RIGHT of the TV behind Kaiya's rocking chair . . . .
Well, I got really sick of that BIG WASTED SPACE!! I just kept looking at it thinking . . there is so much I could do with that . . . . Finally, I decided . . . we will probably never put in the beautiful cabinet I would like to have custom made . . . so, let's put in some shelves! Prasan needed to run to homedepot to get something and I told him what I wanted to do, could we price it out! Well, a few stops and suddenly I had persuaded from "price it out" to in my cart!! Yeah! I was like a school girl on Christmas morning!!
I, yes I, applied the modeling on the edges of the shelves, primed, and painted them. I measured out where they would go, made sure it was level, and held them in place while he used the power drill! And, here is the finished product! I am feeling quite pleased with us . . . ME!
Doesn't that look better???!!!?!?!?!!!!
(No, the red Chinese laterns are not part of the permanent decor, Chinese New Year decor)
Now, just to convince him that NOW is the time to do the other side . . . until I get that fireplace I want anyway!! Oh, the plans I dream up in my head!!!
WHAT DO YOU THINK?? BETTER??? WORSE??
