So, we have been busy little bodies!
We went to the beach in this morning. The kids LOVED Turtle Bay!! Grammy and Granddad were super smart to have sand toys ready and waiting! They think of everything! Slide show because there are too many pictures that I like . . . will leave some out, but come on, these girls are all so cute!!! Yep, I have 4 very beautiful neices and one cute daughter!!
After the beach, a quick trip the the Kahuku doctor's office (a reminder as to why I tried to stay away from needing any medical care when I was here during school), for Kaiya who had a sinus infection and start of an ear infection! I had never been to the Health Center in Kahuku . . . the outside waiting room was pretty cool. Hopefully, the medicine will work! I finally found a time that I felt under dressed in Hawaii - - I was still in my swimming suit, board shorts, with a t-shirt over the top and Kaiya in her with a cover up over the top! Definitely felt under dressed!!
We attempted to go to Pearl Harbor (my 4th time to visit). We arrived to only find out the tickets are gone. Yeah! So, a picture from across the harbor will do for today, we will be back tomorrow for another try!
Pearl Harbor attempt!!
After being turned away from the Pearl Harbor gates, we headed to Waikiki for the International Market Place, to hit the Pearl Factory. There, we opened SEVERAL OYSTERS for pearls!! M1 got a BLUE pearl! Lucky cousin! 1 in 700 oysters holds a blue pearl! Kaiya opened a PINK pearl!! We played, as in SIL and I, there for 2 hours deciding to either mount or wait to mount our pearls! Ended up mounting, and picking which mount was a feat too!! Then, headed back to the car to return home. No picture of that experience!! LUCKY YOU!!!
This guy was standing in this exact same place when I came to the International Marketplace in 1997 and in 2002! Does he ever leave?? Ha ha!!
Wish our mom's would hurry up with those pearls!!
Thank goodness for the entertainment of koi fish!
In Kaneohe, we hit Walgreens . . . to pick up Kaiya's antibiotics! I have a thing, when in Hawaii . . . do as the locals! We hit Walgreens, no open in Kaneohe next to the Long's Drugs, to pick up a eczema prescription for me and Kaiya antibiotics. After two hours of waiting, I think we should have gone to good old Longs. But, oh well! It was a timely mistake!!
Back to Kahuku after dinner at Panda Express, for some well needed sleep!!
