New Years at the PCC 1/1/2009

We went to the beach again today! And had lots of fun with Granddad, Grammy, and Dad there in addition to the usual group of girls! Lots of fun was had by all! Lots of pictures! Will post a few of the cutest!!

After the beach, we took our personal PCC TOUR GUIDE retiree with us for a fun filled day!! We hit most of the villages, saw the canoe show, and left for Fumi's for a road side shrimp dinner in Kahuku!

Weaving Fish from Palm Fronds

The one big thing I notices . . . during the canoe show, we spotted a total white girl on the Tahitian boat! I tried and tried so hard to get a good picture of her! During my day, if you were white, you weren't dancing at the PCC!! You could totally tell she had to dye her hair darker. She was also the only one trying not to laugh! I guess things have changed . . . I would give credit to Lucy, a friend of ours who as far as I know was the first "white" girl to dance at the PCC. She had to fight for it!! Okay, I am a little jealous . . . how fun to learn all those dances!!! And a great AB workout!!!

Waiting patiently for Canoe Show to start

We ran into a couple people Dad knew at BYU-H! Who are either there working or waiting for spouses to graduate! We were shocked to even recognize anyone!! It was fun to run into old friends and familiar faces!!

New Home for Iosepa - finished and initially launched while we were at BYUH

P.S. I just have to note that I WAS REALLY ON VACATION TOO! JUST BECAUSE I AM NOT IN ANY PICTURES, DOESN'T MEAN I WAS NOT THERE!! Is that the sad truth about being the mom, you never get to be in the pictures because you are always taking them! Oh well!
